Synopsis:
Please note that this is NOT a request for quotes or proposals, the Government is seeking information for market research purposes only. Network Contracting Office (NCO) 2 of the Department of Veterans Affairs is currently conducting a market survey for qualified firms capable of providing Checkpoint software maintenance and support (24 x7/365 temperature monitoring) for the VA Medical Center Northport, NY. The contractor shall provide all necessary labor, equipment, tools, material, parts, repair services, software upgrades, etc. for on-site maintenance service. All maintenance and software upgrades must be in accordance with OEM, Mesa Labs. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) is 811219. Interested parties MUST provide company/individual name, a capability statement, examples of same or similar work performed at other facilities, DUNS number and address, point of contact and social-economic.
The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification/socioeconomic status (service-disabled veteran owned small business, veteran owned small business, women owned small business, HUB Zone, 8(a), small business or large business), relative to NAICS 811219. Responses to this notice will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. A solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is issued, it will be announced on Federal Business opportunities website http://www.fbo.gov at a later date, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement. SERVICE/MAINTENANCE OF EQUIPMENT
DESCRIPTION/SPECIFICATIONS
CHECKPOINT SOFTWARE MAINTENANCE AND SUPPORT
(24 x 7/ 365 TEMPERATURE MONITORING)
Located at the:
Northport VAMC, 79 Middleville Road, Northport, New York 11768.
REQUIREMENTS:
The regulatory requirements extend to repairs performed by OEMs and required maintenance to return the equipment/instruments and systems to the manufacturer s original specifications. The repair and refurbishment process is subject to regulatory FDA audits and must comply with Medical Device Reporting (MDR) requirements.
FULL SERVICE CONTRACT:
Furnish all necessary labor, equipment, tools, materials, repair service, software updates, parts, etc., for complete On-Site Maintenance Service as specified below in accordance with the terms, conditions and schedule of this agreement.
EQUIPMENT/SERVICE: Equipment to be serviced/maintained includes:
CHECKPOINT SOFTWARE AND HARDWARE MAINTENANCE AND SUPPORT

TOTAL QUANTITY: 193 MONITORS.

Service contract to maintain CheckPoint - Wireless Temperature Monitoring System (24 x 7/ 365 support) located at the VA MEDICAL CENTER, NORTHPORT, NY 11768 AND RELATED CBOCs.
Extended hardware and software warranty:
Extended warranty for replacement SERVER, HARDWARE, AND SOFTWARE REFRESH.
Extended warranty for replacement hardware in exchange for damaged or non-functional units from normal usage.
Extended software warranty for all proprietary software components of the system to ensure they perform in substantial compliance with the documentation
Software Support:
Unlimited telephone support
Unlimited support via approved VPN access
Unlimited remote web support
Software Updates:
Automatic updates for new software enhancements, as available.
Unlimited Web Training:
Unlimited user training by phone or remote web support
System Monitoring:
Continuous monitoring of key server and system performance parameters via automated control center that receives and analyzes server status messages every 30 minutes around the clock (24/7/365)

Monthly Flash Report:
Monthly flash report provided to Engineering Service summarizing the appropriateness of the use of the system by facility personnel - intended to assess and monitor the facility s ongoing temperature monitoring and temperature management activities and outcomes.

Periodic best practices/SOP review via approved VPN access.
Performance Analysis and Remote Troubleshooting:
Periodic software/hardware diagnostic tests via approved VPN access, with qualitative MONTHLY report.
Periodic evaluation of the quality of communication in each link of the communication chain for each hardware device (i.e., sensor to repeater, repeater to repeater, sensor to base, and repeater to base) for all equipment via One-VA VPN access, with qualitative report.

The Annual Support Service shall be priced based on the number of sensors, repeaters and etherbases, but it covers ALL of the components of the system: sensors, repeaters, etherbases, software, training, and support.
