The State seeks responses from Check Point Firewall products value added resellers (VARs) as described in this Invitation To Bid for the purpose of contracting with a VAR to supply products contained within the Check Point firewall products Global Price List and to provide maintenance services. Products purchased from this contract award will generally be implemented and managed by State of Connecticut technical staff. It is the intention of the State to use this Invitation to Bid to select a VAR to provide new Check Point firewall products as well as for ongoing support of the State’s installed base of Nokia and Check Point firewall products. The State will utilize other contracts for purchase and support of networking equipment, telephone systems, including voice mail, interactive voice response, voice and data cabling, call accounting, and other telephone system peripheral products, but may utilize this contract award for support of any pre-existing Nokia and Check Point firewall systems or for purchase and support of Check Point firewall products. The contract award resulting from this Invitation to Bid shall supercede the Department of Information Technology’s existing Nokia and Check Point firewall contract. The VAR must be a Check Point Channel Partner for the life of the contract award.
