Chatham County Georgia Detention Center Prequalification
The Chatham County Board of Commissioners will soon be issuing Pre-Qualification
Questionnaire and scoring Prime/General Contractors for the County Detention Center
Expansion Project. Only those Prime/General passing the questionnaire criteria and obtaining a
score of 85 or better will received a Invitation for Bid. The project expansion has a cost range
projected at $70 to $80 million.
Interested Prime/Contractors having the experience and capability to contract as a
Prime/General Contractor should fax or email their interest to the Chatham County Purchasing
and Contracting Division to the Purchasing Agent, William R. Parson, CPPO, fax 912-790-1627
or [email protected] in order to receive a Pre-Qualifying package.
Thirty days will be allowed for completion and return of the Pre-Qualifying documents. The
Invitation for Bid will be released on or about February 22, 2010.
Sub-Contractors, especially local and certified Minority and Woman Business Enterprises,
should also notify this office including their complete address and contact information to
establish their interest for participation. This listing will be provided to the Prime/General
Contractors. The County will accept any other government entity certification that is current.
