This is a non-personal contract to Dewater the Chatfield Dam Outlet Works Stilling Basin in Littleton, Colorado. Services for dewatering includes the following: (1)(a) removing all surface water from the Outlet Works Stilling Basin at Chatfield Dam (Stilling Basin), from the two Manholes for the Stilling Basin drainage system (Manholes) and from the South Platte River Channel (Channel) between the Stilling Basin and the Grade Control Weir (Weir); (1)(b) maintaining the Stilling Basin, Manholes and Channel in a dewatered condition so that a thorough structural evaluation and inspection of these features can be conducted by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) until inspection activities are complete; (2) removing and disposing of all riprap, coarse aggregate, silt, debris, and other foreign material deposited within the Stilling Basin and Manholes prior to USACE inspection activities; (3) cleaning the concrete surfaces of the Stilling Basin and Manholes by pressure-washing prior to USACE inspection activities; and (4) performing the following incidental construction work in the Stilling Basin area: (a) removing and disposing of an abandoned steel pipe from the inside wall of the Stilling Basin; (b) replacing 2 existing steel Manhole covers with 2 new aluminum covers & locking mechanisms; and (c) installing new galvanized steel side rail ladders and ladder climbing safety devices in two Manholes.
