Charter School
The College seeks to support a K-12 charter school that will draw upon the best of the classical and
liberal arts tradition with a mission to teach students to become self-governing individuals and citizens
who understand and defend the principles of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution.
Residents of the state in which the school is located, not Hillsdale College, will hold the schools charter.
Thus, the work of operating the school, governing it effectively, and adhering to its mission will fall to
those holding the charter.
