Central Plant Microgrid
Furnish all supervision, labor, materials, equipment not provided by the agency, and incidentals necessary to install and commission SMUD provided equipment. Agency provided equipment includes one (1) Cyberex Brand, Custom, Power Static Transfer Switch (STS), three (3) TecoGen Inverde 100 Natural Gas Generators, one (1) Carrier 500 Ton 19XR Evergreen Chiller, one (1) WSA Engineered Systems Automatic Tube Cleaning System, and one (1) Baltimore Aircoil Company Model PT2-0809A-1J2 Cooling Tower Unit. The work generally consists of:
1. Demolition and regulated recycle and disposal of underground trenching, existing site facilities, site utilities, building slabs, structure, utilities, finishes etc. necessary to install and commission SMUD and Contractor provided equipment, and accomplish the work in accordance with the Contract.
2.Installation and connection of site and building utilities, mechanical systems, plumbing systems, electrical systems, monitoring systems, and control systems and make all connections to existing and new systems to install and commission Agency and Contractor provided equipment, and accomplish the work in accordance with the Contract.
3.Construction of all site and building concrete slabs, structures, anchorage systems, mounting systems and make all connections to existing and new systems required to install and commission Agency and Contractor provided equipment, and accomplish the work in accordance with the Contract.
4.Filling, compacting, and finishing to match existing surfaces all site excavations and building penetrations made in the course of the work.
5.Installation, regional air quality testing support, and commissioning to regulatory requirements, manufacturer's warranty requirements and SMUD operational requirements all Agency and Contractor provided equipment, and accomplish the work in accordance with the Contract.
6.As part of commissioning provide training for Agency personnel on all Contractor provided equipment and coordinate with manufacturers the training of personnel on all provided equipment and the Contractor's operational programming of provided/Contractor installed equipment.
7.Complete all Central Plant exterior yard work on or before September 30, 2011.
8.Complete installation and start commissioning of Cyberex Brand, Custom, Power Static Transfer Switch (STS) system, three (3) TecoGen Inverde 100 Natural Gas Generator systems with connection to Central Plant hot water system and associated work before October 01, 2011.
9.Complete all other contract work on or before November 18, 2011.
