Network Contracting Office 21 (NCO 21) is conducting market research for available capable qualified sources for the urgent repair of a radiator and copper piping for a CATAPILLAR emergency generator [Engine Model 3412DITA / SN:BLG02879] for the San Francisco VA Medical Center (VAMC) in San Francisco, California.

This is a market research/sources sought synopsis only, (not a pre-solicitation notice pursuant to FAR Part 5). This Sources Sought Notice (SSN) is for market research purposes only and shall not be construed as a commitment or a promise of a contract by the Government. This is not a solicitation. This notice does not constitute a Request for Bid, Request for Quote or Request for Proposal, nor does it restrict the Government as to the ultimate acquisition approach. The Government will not reimburse respondents for any costs incurred in preparation of a response to this notice. Large and small businesses are encouraged to participate in this survey.

For the purpose of this acquisition, the NAICS code is 811310 and the small business size standard is $7,500,000.00 is applicable. This survey is to determine the capability of potential sources and the availability of commercial sources and services pursuant to FAR Part 10.

Interested parties shall provide a capability statement that addresses the organization s qualifications and ability to perform as a prime contractor for repair of the radiator and the copper piping for the equipment stated herein. Capability statements shall include the following business information:

Business size for NAICS: 811310

Socio-economic status (e.g. SDVOSB, VOSB, WO, etc..)

Narrative that addresses the organization s qualification and ability to perform as a prime contractor for repair of the Radiator for Emergency Generator #6, which was damaged by the elements. The Radiator has been degraded and leaking coolant and requires immediate repair. Piping for this generator will need to be replaced. 30 Scaffolding will have to be constructed to reach placement of 4 diameter X 5 long copper piping that is also damaged.
