Cataloger's Desktop Modernization Program
The Cataloging Distribution Service (CDS) of the Library of Congress ( LC) is required to migrate its web based cataloging documentation product, Catalogers Desktop, from its current FAST NXT software to the next generation of web search delivery platform on the World Wide Web. Catalogers Desktop provides access to a large number of electronic manuals and procedural documentation that describe standards for performing cataloging and classification tasks in a library.
