The U.S. Army Contracting Command - New Jersey (ACC-NJ) on behalf of the U.S. Army Armament Research, Development and Engineering Command (ARDEC) intends to issue a sole source Request for Quote to CAST, Inc., 11 Stonewall Court, Woodcliff Lake, NJ 07677, CAGE Code pursuant to FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) for Cast Encoder & Decoder IP Cores software which they are the only provider for this software and the associated support. This purchase is to procure the software for the M153 Common Remotely Operated Weapons Stations (CROWS) to enable the M153 CROWS Program of Record to be reproduced, recreated, and recompiled for post-production software that was delivered by the CROWS Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). There are no other authorized vendors for this software. The resultant contract shall be awarded as a Firm Fixed Price, commercial contract utilizing FAR Part 12 streamlined procedures.

The applicable NAICS Code for this is 541511.


For this effort the contractor is to provide perpetual licenses for Cast Encoder & Decoder IP Core software for H264-E-BPS Single Project netlist license (2 clocks/pixel) Intra-Only; H264-D Single Project netlist license; H2642RTP Single Project netlist license. This will be used to maintain organic support capability for the M153 CROWS.


THIS SYNOPSIS DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ). Further, this synopsis does not guarantee of a future RFQ and should not be construed as a commitment of any kind by the U.S. Government. Responses to this synopsis are not considered proposals/quotes, and, cannot be accepted by the Government to form a bidding contract.
