(Notice of intent to perform oral solicitation)

In accordance with FAR 13.106-1 (c )(1), the Department of Veterans Affairs intends to perform oral solicitations for Reliance 1227 Cart washer and Utensil Washer/Disinfector. This will be set-aside for SDVOSB s. To be considered eligible for award all SDVOSB s must be registered/verified through Vetbiz.gov. If you wish to be included in this solicitation, please respond electronically to gregory.watson2@va.gov by 10PM PST Monday November 27th 2017. This solicitation will be performed Tuesday November 28th 2017.
This will be a brand name or equal to solicitation to the following Items Manufactured by STERIS Corporation:
1 Each FW03101 Reliance 1227 Cart washer and Utensil Washer/Disinfector, 200-208v, 60HZ, vented. Steam heatedoz/gal (0.16mL/L). A low level sensor is included to indicate when the detergent level in the cont

1 Each FY030013 - Seismic Anchorage option

1 Each FD335 - Pre-install seismic kit for seismic option FY030013

1 Each FY030008 - Reservoir (1227)

1 Each SE101382 Installation Reliance 1227 Cart Washer

To be considered technically acceptable, the products must meet the following minimum salient characteristics:

The washer is composed of stainless steel construction, intended for use of cleaning and low level disinfecting of food carts.

Can be built to seismic designing Size (W x H xL) Maximum overall dimensions 106 x 114 x 120 1/2 with chamber load capacity 34 x 80 x 106 . 208V or 408V, 3 phase 60Hz.


The cart washer pumps must automatically dispense the correct amount of detergent (ultra-concentrate) 1/40 or 1/10 oz/gal as well as rinse aid. Must monitor Cardiac output within 2 minutes of application of monitor.
A low level sensor needs to be included to indicate when the detergent and rinse aid are low.
Carts come out the other side clean.
Must display values in graphics and digital form to trend parameters.
The cart washer must disinfect the food carts and must be a high capacity mechanical washer to provide low level disinfection.
It will need a drying system and HEPA filters


Vendor shall be an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) authorized dealer, authorized distributor or authorized reseller for the proposed equipment/system such that OEM warranty and service are provided and maintained by the OEM. All software licensing, warranty, and service associated with the equipment/system shall be in accordance with the OEM terms and conditions.
This procurement is for new Equipment ONLY; no remanufactured or "gray market" items. All Equipment must be covered by the manufacturer's warranty.
*This notice satisfies the requirement at FAR 5.201 to synopsize proposed contract actions.*
