CareerStart School-to-Career Program and CareerStart Consultant
The WorkPlace, Inc. is issuing this Request for Proposal (RFP) from qualified bidders to launch CareerStart, a regional school-to-career initiative of the CT-NY Talent for Growth partnership designed to provide high school students with opportunities to make knowledgeable career choices and gain an understanding of the work environment. Proposals are being solicited for the following projects:
1. CareerStart School-to-Career Program: Proposals to start or enhance a CareerStart School-to-Career program at a high school within the CT-NY Talent for Growth region; programs will be in collaboration with the local businesses and include internship, job shadowing, job site tours for students and teachers, business speakers bureau, and other opportunities that create awareness and an understanding of the world of work and post-secondary education choices.
2. CareerStart Consultant: Proposals from qualified consultants to research and provide a Resource Guide containing best practices for engaging business and education partnerships and model school-to- career programs, and to convene a Business-Education forum.
