Oregon Council for the Humanities (OCH) seeks proposals to assist the organization with its online visual communications. Activities include: develop custom templates for a mass e-mail distribution program and troubleshoot when needed (OCH currently uses SendStudio, but is open to changing); assist OCH communications staff with updating and managing website corrections, posting images, etc., as needed (OCH currently uses BBEdit, but is open to changing); create and add new web pages and/or microsites as needed; develop writeable PDF documents to be posted on website. The successful applicant will demonstrate skill and ease in translating ideas into concrete results and be deadline-driven, responsive, and customer-focused. He or she will also work within OCH graphic standards to maintain the design integrity of the site, but should also recommend improvements that would make the site more efficient, accessible, and intuitive. This is an offsite, contract position. The initial phase of this project will be short-term and occasional, but could lead to a long-term redesign process. Contact: Oregon Council for the Humanities, Attn: Website Design Position, 812 SW Washington Street, Suite 225, Portland, OR 97205. Or you may submit an RFP as a PDF document (less than 5 MB, please) to [email protected], noting Website design position on the subject line.
