Network Contracting Office 21 (NCO 21) plans to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ) for Local Area Network (LAN) and fiber optic cabling at the VA Pacific Islands Healthcare System (VAPIHCS). The VAPIHCS also requires a small portion of Voice System Manufacturer (OEM) certified and trained personnel to perform adds, moves, changes for telephone and fax machine lines.

The solicitation number for this RFQ VA261-17-Q-0482. The solicitation will be issued on or about May 17, 2017, with an anticipated quote due date of June 16, 2017.

The government anticipates awarding multiple Basic Purchase Agreements (BPA). The Period of Performance will be for five years from award.

The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) is 541519, size standard $27.5 million.

Contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov.

All questions shall be submitted in writing to Nicole.do@va.gov not later than June 9, 2017 at 4:00 PM HST.

BACKGROUND: The BPA will be for smaller BPA calls ranging on average from below the micro-purchase threshold to $25K. The contractor will not be expected to have a FTE on site nor does this requirement support the workload for a FTE.

In the past, cabling jobs were procured via single purchase orders or the government purchase card. Past vendors included Dial-A-Phone, Pelatron, and Dawson. There is no specific contract numbers or contract values as jobs were procured separately and via purchase orders or purchase card.
