C-27J Aircraft #10 Painting
The Government intends to award a sole source contract to L-3 Communications Integrated Systems to paint one C-27J aircraft (#10), in the required United States Coast Guard (USCG) paint scheme, prior to its delivery, in accordance with FAR Part 15 requirements. L-3 is the OEM for the Joint Cargo Aircraft and the current custodian of the first C-27J to be delivered to the USCG. The aircraft is required to be painted at its current location, the L-3 facility, in order to support the USCG timeline for training, qualification, and introduction of the aircraft into the USCG fleet. The Contractor shall be required to furnish all necessary labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, supervision, and licenses, as applicable, to apply the current USCG paint scheme to one C-27J aircraft. The estimated period of performance for this effort is 01 September 2014 through 30 September 2014. This announcement is for the painting of a single aircraft only, aircraft #10. Any future requirements for the application of the USCG paint scheme on additional C-27J aircraft, which currently reside in United States Government storage, will be posted under a separate announcement.
