PROJECT DESCRIPTION AND LOCATION

Intent - The intent of the contract is to provide for the completion of the work described below. The precise details of performing the work are not stipulated, except as considered essential for the successful completion of the work. Furnish all labor, material, equipment, tools, transportation, and supplies necessary to complete the work according to the contract.

Scope - The work shall consist of replacing the water line at the Quake Lake Visitor Information Center. Work includes excavation, trenching, water line placement, backfill, and concrete sidewalk replacement.

The Contractor shall ensure that daily business will not be interrupted.

The Contractor shall be responsible for verifying all measurements to determine necessary quantities and sizes of materials to be furnished and handled.

Mobilization - Work shall consist of preparatory work and operations, including those necessary to the movement of personnel, equipment, supplies, and incidentals to the project site; and for other work and operations that must be performed or costs incurred prior to beginning work on the various items on the project site.

Demolition and Disposal - Work shall consist of removal and disposal of existing materials at the construction site to include but not limited to existing sidewalks, plumbing, and other materials to facilitate the work described.

Install Waterline - Complete: Work shall consist of installing the waterline from the existing water system in the Restroom Utility Room to the connection in the basement of the Visitor Center. This work includes supplying all supplies and equipment necessary to complete the work.

Earth Moving - Work shall consist of excavating to expose the existing waterline, and trenching or boring to complete the installation of the waterline to the basement of the Visitor Center. This work includes backfill, compaction, and preparation for sidewalks.

Concrete Sidewalk - Work shall consist of preparing the subgrade, forming, and installing the concrete sidewalks. Some stained and exposed aggregate concrete is included in this item.

Project Location - This project is located at the Quake Lake Visitor Information Center, Hebgen Lake Ranger District of the Custer Gallatin National Forest 28 road miles NW of West Yellowstone, Montana.

Price Range - Per FAR 36.204(b), the price range is between $25,000 and $100,000.

Pre-bid Tour - No pre-bid tour is scheduled.

Start Work - It is estimated that work will begin August 15, 2018.

Period of Performance - Contract to be completed in 21 calendar days.
