Seeking proposals from qualified proposers for the purpose of developing an internet-based national data collection system. This system will be modeled on an existing Microsoft Access database currently in use by NASCSP. NASCSP requires assistance with a special information systems project for its national data collection system known as the Community Services Block Grant Information System (CSBG IS). The system currently uses Microsoft Access database software. Individual states compile data submitted by their grantee agencies (hereinafter referred to as grantees) in an Access database format that is submitted to NASCSP. NASCSP then compiles the state segments into a single national database that contains the data from the approximately 1,100 grantees. The full process is outlined in a later section titled, “Current System Process.” NASCSP analyzes and organizes this data to prepare an annual national report of anti-poverty activity that can be distributed to illustrate information on anti-poverty spending, services and characteristics of service recipients.
