CRYOPUMP SYSTEM
NASA/GRC has a requirement for one TM900K 35-inch PHPK Technologies Flanged Cryopump System.
NASA/GRC intends to purchase the items from PHPK Technologies. PHPK is the manufacturer of the CVI Torr Master Cryopump Systems currently installed at NASA/GRC. The new cryogenic equipment must be compatible with the existing GRC units for direct replacement of parts thus reducing maintenance downtime and meeting test schedules and milestones.
The sole source is under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i).
The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.
Organizations that believe they are capable of performing the described work may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on 11/06/2014. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.
