CONTINUING CONTRACT FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
The services
of the selected consultants will be on an "as-needed" basis and will be under a "continuing contract" arrangement for the
following: (1) professional services that are not for the design of a construction project (a study) and the estimated cost of
the services does not exceed $200,000 per event, and (2) professional services that are for the design of a construction
project and the estimated cost of the construction project does not exceed $2,000,000. The County shall not be obligated
to utilize any consultant selected under this solicitation for any study or construction project and reserves the right to issue
a separate solicitation for professional services for any study or construction project. Respondents, and personnel within
their firm, shall be qualified and meet the requirements as specified in Chapters 471 (Engineering), 472 (Land surveying
and Mapping), 481 (Architecture, Interior Design and Landscape Architecture), and 492 (Professional Geology) of the
Florida Statutes, for the professional services disciplines for which they are applying. The following are the professional
service disciplines for which the County is seeking consultants: Civil Engineering Transportation and Traffic Engineering
Structural Engineering Aviation and Airport Engineering Architecture / Landscape Architecture Planning & Urban Design
Construction Management Environmental/Geotechnical Engineering Electrical Engineering Mechanical Engineering Water/ Wastewater Engineering Minimum Requirements For Submitting A Response Respondents shall provide written
documentation verifying that they meet the following minimum requirements. If any Respondent is found not to meet these
requirements, their Response will be rejected. 1. Respondents shall be registered with the State of Florida to conduct
business in the State in accordance with the Florida Department of State Division of Corporations. 2. "Key Personnel"
within the Respondent's firm shall possess a valid and current professional license or certification issued by the State of
Florida for the professional service discipline(s) for which Respondent is applying. 3. Respondents must have been in the
business of providing professional services in the discipline(s) for which they are applying for a minimum of three (3)
years. This shall not be limited to conducting business in the State of Florida. NOTE: For requirement # 3 above, if a
Respondent has a business history of less than three years, the Principal(s) of the Respondent must demonstrate that
they, personally, were previously employed with another consulting company providing professional services for the
discipline(s) for which they are applying, for a total of five (5) years, in order to meet this minimum requirement.
