CONSULTANT: TRAVEL CONSULTANT (MARKET SURVEY)
Under the overall guidance of UNDP Travel Manager, UNDP seeks the services of an experienced travel consultant with significant and extensive knowledge and experience of the travel industry to conduct a market survey to ultimately identify business opportunities and establish a compendium of current travel services available in the industry (including any new services or travel business opportunities available to UNDP that the organization may not currently be availing itself of). Based on available travel services, conduct a needs assessment to report on internal travel client needs and compile/identify UNDP requirements to assist with robust contract management. In addition the consultant will provide advisory services and substantive input to management for drafting the Request for Proposal for Travel Services to incorporate results of the market research in order to source the best possible vendor needed to manage the UNDP travel requirements, provide input in the technical evaluation of responses received to the RFP, assist in the drafting of a new travel contract and in the transition to the new travel contract. The individual must have excellent interpersonal skills to understand client concerns to thereafter compile, review, and analyze the results of the best practices research for travel policies and procedures in international organization in order to provide advice on the establishment of travel policies and procedures in UNDP.
