The City is requesting proposals from consultants who can provide professional guidance and oversight of its community information and outreach project for its water conservation and stormwater pollution prevention programs. The goal is to develop an ongoing program that offers information in meaningful forms to all segments of the community, and invites feedback on both its programs and its information strategies. While the Utilities Department has an expectation to be innovative and technologically current, it is seeking real value--maximum benefit from the least costly approach. The term of the contract is for two years (November 2009 through November 2011) with a budget of, including paid advertising, up to $35,000 for water conservation and up to $12,000 for the stormwater components per year. There is an option to extend the contract two additional one year periods contingent upon budget availability, meeting performance expectations, and upon approval of the City Manager.
