COMMUNICATIONS PLAN REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL
The City of Rochester is soliciting proposals to conduct a review of current planning communication systems that the Administration employs to interact with the community and to develop recommendations for an improved planning communication system that coordinates the communication needs of the various City departments. The purpose of the plan is to: (1)Inventory existing planning communication systems, relationships, and costs. This inventory will include systems both within and outside the Department of Community Development ; (2) Study best practice‟ models for planning communication, compare to current practices, and review with Communications Committee for recommendations; (3) Provide a cost estimate for re-tooling city communication processes; (4) Provide a sustainable systems model for a planning communication process that includes feedback loops allowing for rapid re-delivery of integrated community-driven information demonstrating to the community that their city government listens.
