This project will consist of the removal and replacement of the existing pavement and grade adjustments to meet ADA requirements to retrofit a concrete pad for two parking stalls and aisles. Work also includes the removal and replacement of sidewalk, curb and gutter, sign replacement, and parking markings. The existing bike rack located on the median will be removed and reset in a new location. The location of work is in the Two Ponds National Wildlife Refuge parking lot located near the corner of W. 80th Avenue and Kipling Street in Arvada, Colorado. This work consists of moving personnel, equipment, material, and incidentals to the project and performing all necessary work to mobilize and demobilize to and from the site to perform all work included in this contract. Mobilization includes the obtaining of permits, insurance, and bonds. Also included is any testing and survey required to complete the work.

Asphalt Concrete Pavement: This item includes the removal and disposal of the existing asphalt concrete pavement, the conservation and reconditioning of the aggregate base, and all necessary work and materials for the placement of new asphalt. Included in this item is additional aggregate base necessary to raise grade and maintain the structural section.

Minor Concrete Pavement: This item includes all necessary work and materials to grade, form, reinforce, pour and cure the ADA concrete pad and bike rack pad. Included in this item is additional aggregate base necessary to raise grade and maintain the structural section at the concrete ADA pad. Also included is the labor and material used to relocate the bike rack to the new concrete pad and attach.

Concrete Curb and Gutter: This item covers all necessary work and materials necessary to grade, form, pour and cure the curb and gutter. The concrete curb and gutter item includes the removal and disposal of the existing curb and gutter and additional aggregate base necessary to raise grade, maintain the structural section, and backfill new curb. Also included is the yellow paint to mark a no parking zone.

Concrete Sidewalk: This item includes the work and materials needed to form, place and cure the concrete sidewalk. The concrete sidewalk item includes removal and disposal of the existing median sidewalk and ADA ramp and additional aggregate base necessary to raise grade and maintain the structural section. Also included is any potholing necessary to ensure the underground electrical cables will not be disturbed when constructing the sidewalk.

Striping and Pavement Markings: This item includes the work and materials necessary to reestablish the parking stall striping and paint new pavement markings as noted in the signing and pavement markings plan.

Sign System: This item includes the removal of existing signage and installation of new signage as noted in the signing and pavement markings plan. Also included is furnishing signs, posts, and mounting hardware.

Temporary Traffic Control: This item includes setup, operation, maintenance, and removal of temporary traffic control for the duration of the project. Traffic control devices include temporary construction signs, barricades and cones, to allow closure of the parking lot during construction.

No Site Visit is scheduled at this time, but prospective quoters are encouraged to visit the work site on there own.

Magnitude of the requirement; Between $100,000 and $250,000.

Commencement, Prosecution, and Completion of Work. Follow the requirements of FAR Clause 52.211-10 Commencement, Prosecution, and Completion of Work. Complete all work by 10/31/2019.
