The purpose of this market research is to help CNCS secure a brand consultancy contractor that can provide the agency with a straightforward and effective brand strategy that allows the American people to better understand and participate in national service.

Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS) is a federal agency and the nation's largest grant maker in support of service and volunteering, and administers AmeriCorps and Senior Corps. CNCS engages millions of Americans in results-driven service each year at 50,000 locations across the country. Working hand-in-hand with local partners, we tap the ingenuity and can-do spirit of the American people to tackle some of the most pressing challenges facing our nation. Our service participants, and the community volunteers they coordinate, enable tens of thousands of non-profit organizations, faith-based groups, schools, and municipal agencies to solve tough problems and meet local needs. We serve, we build, and we make an impact that changes lives and communities.

Our approximately 300,000 trained, skilled AmeriCorps members and Senior Corps volunteers help millions of Americans succeed in school, prepare for 21st century jobs, live with independence and dignity, increase self-sufficiency, and rebuild their lives after addiction, homelessness, job loss, or natural disasters. Members and volunteers receive training and build skills that combined with their service provide a life changing experience. We are advancing multiple priorities to promote economic mobility, develop workforce skills, revitalize cities, combat the opioid crisis, prevent elder abuse, support veterans and military families, and grow the economy.
