CN - WAUPEE DAM REPAIRS

SECOND AMENDMENT INCLUDES AS FOLLOWS:

SF30 AMENDMENT FORM WITH ATTACHMENTS:
1) Waupee Dam Amendment with Questions & Answers
2) New Schedule of Items
3) Geotechnical Investigation - Proposed Waupee Dam Repairs
4) Waupee Boring Locations


THIS AMENDMENT IS TO INCLUDE AS FOLLOWS:

1) Sheet piling shall be hot rolled.  Cold rolled is not acceptable.
2) Sheet piling cap is not required.  Remove reference to "cover cap" from Specification Section 31 41 22.  Sheet piling installed in auxiliary spillway shall have rounded, non-sharp, top edges.
3) Updated plan set is attached.  Detail 1 on Sheet 7 has been changed to reflect accurate sheet piling length.
4) Answers to contractor questions are attached.

The USDA Forest Service, Lake States Acquisition Team, announces a Small Business Set-Aside, Invitation for Bid opportunity for the Waupee Dam Repair project on the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest in Wisconsin. The project will consist of removal and replacement of drop inlet and wing walls, removal and replacement of concrete pipe and apron, and repair of the auxiliary spillway.


The work will be performed in accordance with a general sequence or phasing 1) Repair of auxillary spillway; 2) Installation of temporary cofferdam and bypass pump; 3) Removal of existing drop inlet structure and concrete pipe; and 4) Installation of new drop inlet structure and concrete pipe. Detailed specifications will be provided with the solicitation.


The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 238910. The Small Business Administration size standard is $15.0 million. The estimated magnitude of construction for this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. Contractors are required to be actively registered with the System for Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov in order to be considered for award. Registering in the SAM system is FREE. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this synopsis, the pending solicitation or any follow up information requests. The solicitation will be posted to the FedBizOpps website at www.fbo.gov on or about JUNE 24, 2019.


No hard copies of the solicitation, supporting documents and applicable amendments, if any, will be provided. To receive the entire solicitation package and any applicable amendments, prospective offerors must download them from the FedBizOpps website. The contractor shall provide all management and project administration services, quality control, logistical support, vehicles, labor, equipment and materials to complete the work described in the solicitation.
