Due to the furlough and uncertainty of the length of the Government Shutdown, the response due date for this solicitation will be extended to 5 days after the government employees are returned to work. A notice will be posted and any contractor who has already submitted a response, will have the opportunity to submit questions and/or change/correct their response to this solicitation. Please submit your questions in an e-mail to acaliguri@fs.fed.us and a response will be returned to you as soon as the government shutdown is ended.

The Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest announces an opportunity to construct a new aluminum box culvert to replace the existing culverts on FR 2131 over Catwillow Creek in Forest County, Wisconsin. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 237310 and the Small Business Administration size standard is $36.5 million. Contractors are required to be actively registered with the System for Award Management (SAM). The Government estimated magnitude of construction is between $100,000 to $250,000.

No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this synopsis, the pending solicitation or any follow up information requests. No hard copies of the solicitation, supporting documents, and applicable amendments, if any, will be provided. To receive the entire solicitation package and any applicable amendments, prospective offerors must download them from the FedBizOpps website.


The work covered under this project includes but is not limited to mobilization, silt fence, removal of three pipe culverts, waste and structure excavation, structural backfill, dewatering, riprap and geotextile, aggregate base, aggregate surface course, granular backfill, seeding mulching, temporary traffic control, fish rest stop rock and one 36 foot aluminum box culvert, 16-2 span x 5-1 rise with full invert and no headwalls or wingwalls.
