The proposed Scope of Work is to provide CH2M HILL BWXT West Valley, LLC (CHBWV) one (1) Concrete Cutting Saw with the following minimum functional requirements:


 

•1.      The saw will have the ability to be placed into position utilizing either by a CAT 345 or CAT 374 with an 85'UHR demo arm.

•a.       The CAT 374 UHR demo arm has the capability to handle stresses of an MP-30 Shear, so the saw design should use that as an equivalent stress allowable component.


 

•2.      The following specifications are to be met.  If the proposed Saw cannot currently meet any of the following requirements, then supply documentation (see below item 2h & 2i) with your proposal for CHBWV technical evaluation indicating how your proposed design will comply with the following:

•a.       The saw must be capable of remote operation by a second operator, away from the hazards, after it is positioned by the excavator.

•b.      The saw must have the ability to perform "plunge" cuts and then the saw shall track that allow ~8' of travel without relocating the attachment.

•c.       The saw must be capable of plunge cutting a minimum of 37".

•d.      The saw must have the ability to perform horizontal and vertical cuts, both on the horizontal and vertical planes, with articulation built in, using proven technology joints to handle the stresses.

•e.        The Saw and Track must have the ability to tilt and rotate which means the excavator is not required to be in a perfect orientation to locate the attachment.

•f.        The saw drive unit must have a braking system and reversing ability to make operations safer, and have the ability to back away from a bound blade.

•g.       Saw blades shall have a minimal kerf size.

•h.       Minor modifications to existing design maybe acceptable. Preliminary design concept for review would be required.

•i.         Companies would have to have a proven track record of building excavator saws, providing videos or pictures of working units of other similar designs.


 

•j.        final drawings and operations/maintenance manuals would be required

•k.       training and installation support at CHBWV West Valley, New York work be required.
