CGC HENRY BLAKE FY14 DRY-DOCK
The United States Coast Guard, SFLC-CPD C&P2-IBCT PL, proposes to contract the planned dry-dock & repairs of USCGC HENRY BLAKE (WLM-563), a 175' Keeper Class, home-ported out of Everett, WA. All work shall be at the contractor's facility during the period of 13 August 2014 thru 22 October 2014. FAR 13.5 authorizes as a test program, the use of simplified procedures for acquisitions. Work items include but are not limited to: Hull Plating, (U/W Body) Ultrasonic Testing; Appendages (U/W) Preserve, Internal; Chain Lockers Clean & Inspect; Fathometer Transducer, Renew; Sea Strainer Duplex (All sizes) Overhaul; Sea Bay, Preserve 100%; Thruster Unit (General), Overhaul; Hydraulic Chain Stoppers, Inspect & Service - Tier II; Grey Water Holding Tanks Preserve 100%; Decks Exterior (Buoy or Construction Deck), Preserve 100%; U/W Body Preserve 100%; Cathodic Protection/Zinc Anodes, Renew; Dry docking; Temporary Services; Hull Fittings (Weight Handling Rigging Hardware), Inspect and Test; Hydraulic Inhaul Winch, Inspect and Service - Tier II; Anchor Chains & Ground Tackle Preserve; Fire main Valves, Overhaul or Renew; Anchor Preserve; Hull Plating Freeboard (Buoy Port Areas), Preserve; Underwater (Speed) Log Transducer, Renew; Z-Drive Propulsion Units, Overhaul.
On or about 10 June 2014, a Request for Quotation (RFQ) will be available electronically at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. This is a Total Small Business set-aside procurement. Only certified 100% small business contractors may submit a proposal. The NAICS code assigned to this procurement will be 336611 with a size standard of less than 1,000 employees.
