The Michael J. Crescenz VA Medical Center has a requirement for project 642-CS1-114, Renovate Catheterization Lab Phase 2 (RM 8B102a), Control Room 8B102, Equipment Room (8B105) and supporting rooms to prepare them for newly purchased equipment-Siemens ARTIS Q/Q.ZEN/Zee Biplane. The contractor shall provide all necessary labor, material, tools, supervision, equipment, permits, and testing to perform the job. The work shall include general construction, floor replacement, new finishes, fire protection, wall changes, ceilings and revisions to HVAC, electrical and plumbing system as detailed in drawings and specifications. The contractor shall perform the work in accordance with the drawings and specifications.

This requirement is an IFB is 100% set aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business. The magnitude of this VA construction project is estimated to be between $1,000,000 and $2,000,000. The Period of Performance will be 300 calendar days after issuance of Notice to Proceed. Solicitation documents, including scope of work, will be available electronically on or about 7-11-2017, at the following website: www.fbo.gov Interested parties can search for solicitation VA244-17-B-1030 to access solicitation documents and any amendments. OFFERORS ARE ADVISED TO CHECK THE WEBSITE FREQUENTLY AS THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR OBTAINING AMENDMENTS. Firms must be listed as small business under relevant North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code and the must be registered and current in the following websites: https://www.sam.gov/portal/SAM/#1 and www.VETBiz.gov . The NAICS code for this project is 236220 Commercial and Institutional Building Construction, and the small business size standard is $36.5 Million. A pre-bid conference and site visit will be held within two weeks after issuance of the solicitation. The exact date/time/location of the conference will be specified in the solicitation.

By submission of a bid package, the contractor acknowledges the requirements that a prospective awardee must be registered in the System for Award Management, (SAM) and VETBIZ databases prior to award. Lack of registration in the SAM and VETBIZ databases will make a contractor ineligible for award. Contractors may obtain information on registration and annual confirmation requirements via the Internet at. https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/ and www.VETBIZ.gov Ensure your registration is correct, current and has not expired.
