In the 2007 Legislative Session, the Division of Health Care Financing and Policy (DHCFP) received funding to improve quality of care in a cost effective manner for the Nevada Medicaid Fee-For-Service program. The contracts are 1) Care Management, 2) Care Coordination, and 3) a Behavioral Health Provider Recruitment Contract. This Request for Proposal (RFP) is a combined procurement for all three contracts to be delivered by one vendor. The DHCP is obligated to the State Legislature to produce savings for the Care Management and Care Coordination contract. The budgeted savings for both the state and federal match equate to approximately $645,000 in FY 07-08 and $3.8 million in FY 08-09. The vendor's response will have to demonstrate how these medical savings will be achieved This RFP includes current medical expenditure and population statistics for Nevada Medicaid to assist the vendor in determining projections. The State anticipates awarding a two-year contract, contingent upon Legislative funding, with the possibility of two one-year renewal options, if mutually agreed upon by both State and vendor.
