Synopsis:


NOTICE:  This is not a solicitation but rather a Sources Sought Synopsis to determine potential sources for information and planning purposes only.


1.  The purpose of this Sources Sought is to conduct market research to determine if responsible sources exist, to assist in determining if this effort can be competitive and/or a total Small Business Set-Aside.  The Government will use this information to determine the best acquisition strategy for this procurement.  The proposed North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code is 334111 which has a corresponding Size standard of 1,250. The Government is interested in all small businesses to include 8(a), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Hubzone, and Women-Owned small business concerns.  The government requests that interested parties respond to this notice if applicable and identify your small business status to the identified NAICS code and size standard for each group.  Additionally, please provide any anticipated teaming arrangements, along with a description of similar services offered to the Government and to commercial customers for the past three years.  Any responses involving teaming agreements should delineate between the work that will be accomplished by the prime and the work accomplished by the teaming partners.


2.  Program Details:


The CAPRE program produces memory loaders that verify for multiple platforms, update software on various aircraft, download test data, and load OFPs on LRUs and aircraft.


This is a Brand Name or Equal requirement. Equal options to the brand name mentioned will be evaluated against the Laptop Requirements attached. The Brand Name item the government has determined to be technically acceptable is Getac Technology Corporation. Any and all "Equal" offers received from this sources sought will be evaluated to determine technical acceptability. In order to be technically acceptable, all equal items must meet the attached requirements.


3. This is in support of the 309th SMXG located at Hill AFB, UT.  The information in this notice is based on the best and most current information available to date.  This information is subject to change and is not binding to the Government.  Updated information will be provided in future announcements and posted electronically on the Federal Business opportunities homepage at www.fbo.gov. 


The Government shall not reimburse the costs of preparing responses to this request for information.  The Ogden Air Logistics Complex Contracting Directorate (AFMC), Hill Air Force Base (AFB), Utah, intends to issue a formal Request for Quote at a later date.


Qualified sources should provide the following information: company name, point of contact, e-mail address, telephone number, existing government contracts, type of business size, and a cost estimate for each item you can provide.
