Business Intelligence Solution
The Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia, (BOR), converted to PeopleSoft Financials in FY 2002 after having been on an internally developed financial software system for many years. BORs goal is to improve oversight by assisting management in the monitoring and tracking of budget and financial data. BOR seeks an application that can be used at the included institutions at various administrative levels, from the President down to the department manager and also used at the central administrative office. In establishing a robust business intelligence system, BOR seeks to put up-to-date information at the fingertips of both BOR and the included institutions.
BOR desires to procure and have implemented a Business Intelligence Solution for use across the colleges and universities in the University System of Georgia (USG) and the Central Administrative Office of BOR. In Phase I of this procurement BOR desires to have the Business Intelligence Solution implemented initially at one four-year institution, Kennesaw State University, and one two-year institution within one hours drive of the metropolitan Atlanta, Georgia, area. In Phase II, BOR desires potentially to expand the Solution to the Central Administrative Office of BOR and all institutions in the USG other than Georgia Institute of Technology, Georgia State University, The Medical College of Georgia, and the University of Georgia. BOR may entertain the possibility of expanding the Business Intelligence Solution to these large institutions at a later time.
