New York City Economic Development Corporation ("NYCEDC") seeks proposals for the lease of an approximately 130,000 square foot parcel of land located on Block 725, part of Lot 1, in the Sunset Park section of Brooklyn (the "Site"). The Site is part of the Bush Terminal Campus and the Southwest Brooklyn Industrial Business Zone.
Through this Request For Proposals ("RFP"), NYCEDC is seeking developers or users of industrial and/or manufacturing space, to lease and redevelop the Site for an as-of-right industrial use as permitted within a M3-1 zoning. A successful RFP will accomplish the following goals: (1) enable and enhance the growth of the City's industrial and/or manufacturing base through the redevelopment of the Site, (2) protect and create industrial jobs, (3) create a financially feasible and economically viable project, (4) expand and preserve quality jobs for local residents, and (5) serve as a physical example of high-quality, sustainable design and construction.
NYCEDC plans to select a developer on the basis of factors stated in the RFP which include, but are not limited to: respondent team qualifications and financial capacity, proposed use and design, the relationship to the surrounding community, economic impact on the City, and proposed rent.
