This specification describes a 43 Passenger Prisoner Transport Bus similar to a Titan Bus or approved equal. The total bus length should not exceed 41 feet. The chassis including all necessary equipment shall be furnished and delivered new, complete and ready for use. All parts not specifically mentioned but which are necessary for the complete unit shall be supplied and installed by the vendor even though such work or material are not specifically outlined and shall conform in strength, quality of material and workmanship to the best practice known to the Automotive Industry.
This bus is used to move inmates throughout the County and is used throughout the day every day. It should be able to withstand the constant and consistent use and be durable and dependable.
