This is a Sources Sought Notice only. This is NOT a Request for Proposal, Request for Quote or Invitation for Bid. DLA Troop Support is conducting market research seeking to identify possible sources that can supply a Bulb Seal and Side Seals. Interested contractors are requested to review the below descriptions carefully to identify any potential manufacturing challenges and formulate any questions.  The intent of this sources sought notice is to gather information that will identify sources for the possibility of a solicitation for the referenced items under a long-term contract.

 

These Bulb Seals and Side Seals are currently manufactured by Seals Unlimited, Inc. (0AHE5).  Each are used in the LGM-30 missile system with the following technical characteristics:

The contractor will be required to manufacture this item, conduct acceptance tests in accordance with the technical performance specification, and satisfy the Government's substantial delivery requirements.

 

Responses to this survey must include documentation citing the following:

1. The contractor's experience demonstrating the capability to meet the Government's requirements in producing products that meet all performance requirements, and that are physically and functionally interchangeable with Bulb and Side Seals presently procured.

2.  Quality Standard (Government or Industry) that shall be in place for this effort.

3.  Past Performance for the same or similar items. The contractor shall submit their part numbers, NSN, or nomenclature and the date of the last manufacturing effort of the same or similar items for which they have production experience. Government contract numbers, if applicable, shall be provided.

4.  The contractor must provide information to show it possesses, or shall possess, adequate production plant facilities (equipment, tooling, and space) to enable it, or its subcontractors, to meet production delivery requirements for these items.

This Sources Sought Notice is issued for the purpose of market research only and the Government is in no way obligated to purchase any material as a result of this inquiry. The Government will NOT pay for any information submitted by respondents in response to this Sources Sought Notice. If a solicitation would result, it would be synopsized on the FedBizOpps website and it would be the offeror's responsibility to monitor the FedBizOpps website for any such notices.
