Building Renovation & Expansion
The renovation of the existing Engineering Center will involve; upgrades to the existing core and shell to include the building envelope and systems, code and accessibility compliance and architectural modifications to the interior to address deferred maintenance and modernize; the creation of state-of-the-art wet labs, dry labs, classrooms and computer labs along with supporting offices and support spaces and infrastructure upgrades needed to support “cutting edge” instructional methods. The new expansion space is envisioned to contain approximately 142,000 gross square feet and be connected to the existing center. The expansion will continue the provision of state-of-the-art wet & dry labs, classrooms computer labs, offices, support spaces and infrastructure. The expansion will be compatible with the function and appearance of the renovated center. The renovated facility and the expansion will be integrated into a new modernized state-of-the-art Engineering Center.
