Building Code Compliance Program Administrator

The OED seeks proposals from qualified entities or individuals to administer a Building Code Compliance Program for the energy conservation provisions of the Indiana Residential Code and the Indiana Energy Conservation Code (applicable to all Class 1 structures). The chosen administrator will create a road map to achieve at least 90% enforcement of both the residential and commercial energy codes by 2017. Indiana is currently updating the commercial energy code to ASHRAE 90.1 (2007 edition) with Indiana-specific amendments and the residential energy code to 2009 IRC with Indiana-specific amendments (when adopted), which will be equivalent to the 2009 IECC.
