It is the intent of this Request For Proposals (RFP) to acquire the services of a fully qualified Contractor to perform installation of building automation systems and/or provide improvements, upgrades and service to existing Novar Controls Corporation, hereinafter Novar, building automation systems in various buildings of the County School Board of York County, Virginia, hereinafter Owner. The Owner does not employ sufficient resources to provide all of the design, installation and service needs for the Novar building automation systems of the Owner and intends to establish a relationship with a fully qualified Contractor under a County of York, Virginia contract, issued by the County of York, Virginia, Central Purchasing Department, hereinafter Central Purchasing, for an initial one-year contract period beginning upon award (approximately May 1, 2005). The contract will be renewable for up to four additional one-year terms at the option of Owner.
