Budget Management System RFP

The Society for Neuroscience (SfN) is seeking proposals from qualified vendors for a Budget Management System to enhance the Society's budgeting, planning, performance management and analytic reporting capabilities. The primary tool currently being used is an Excel based solution, which lacks the capabilities of a robust budget management system. In addition, data are collected from disparate databases, linked together via Excel, and then manipulated.
SfN's objectives for implementing a new Budget Management System include the following:
Increase the reliability of data by utilizing system intergradations with Dynamics GP and our third-party systems or data warehouse, thereby assuring better data integrity;
Increase the efficiency of SfN's budgeting process by supporting improved processes and workflows;
Improve decision making through the use of analytic tools that identify what-if scenarios and the total potential effect of those scenarios on the proposed budget and on future years;
Provide straightforward and intuitive access to budget data by the users;
Provide more effective support for budget monitoring activities in current fiscal years.
SfN will consider all proposals that help achieve these objectives. This will include proposals that would introduce a system that meets SfN's workflow and integration with SfN's Dynamics GP accounting system.
