Brocade Network Hardware and Support
The Naval Air Warfare Center, Lakehurst, intends to procure Brocade Networks Brand name only products and hardware installation support. This acquisition will be limited to Brocade Networks and their authorized distributors. The Naval Air Warfare Center intends to procure the following items:
- two (2) P/N BR-MLXE-4-MR2-M-AC (Brocade MLXe-4 AC system with one MR2 (M) management module, two high-speed switch fabric modules, one 1800 W AC power supply, four exhaust fan assembly kits, and air filter),
- two (2) P/N MLXE4-SVL-NDP-3 (ESSENTIAL NBD PARTS ONLY SUPPORT, NetIron MLXe-4 System)
- nine (9) P/N MLXE4-SVL-NDP-5 (ESSENTIAL NBD PARTS ONLY SUPPORT, NetIron MLXe-4 System)
- two (2) P/N BR-MLX-MR2-M (Brocade MLX system management module, 4 GB SDRAM, 2 GB internal compact flash, external compact flash slot, EIA/TIA-232 and 10/100/1000 Ethernet ports for out-of-band management)
- seventeen (17) P/N BR-MLXE-ACPWR-1800 (16-, 8- and 4-slot MLXe and 16 - and 8-Slot XMR/MLX AC 1800W power supply),
- sixteen (16) P/N PC15USA (Power Cord for RPS4 and SIACPWR, USA version - NEMA 5-20P Plug (20amp))
- two (2) P/N BR-MLX-1GCX24-X-ML (Brocade MLX 24-port (X) 10/100/1000 copper (RJ-45) module. Supports 512,000 IPv4 routes or 112,000 IPv6 routes in FIB. License upgradable to "X" scalability (1 million IPv4 routes or 240,000 IPv6 routes in FIB))
- eight (8) P/N BR-MLX-1GFX24-X-ML (MLX/MLXE 24-port 1-GbE (ML) Fiber (SFP) Module. Supports 512K IPv4 routes in FIB. License Upgradeable to "X" scalability (1M IPv4 routes in FIB)
- seven (7) P/N BR-MLX-10GX20-M (MLXE 20-port 10-GbE Fiber (SFP Plus) Module)
- two (2) P/N SI-1216F-4 (Four CPU cores, eight 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet copper ports, 16 1 GbE fiber SFP ports, two 10 GbE Fiber SFP+ ports, one AC power supply)
- eight (8) P/N ICX6610-48-PE (48-port 1 GbE RJ45, plus 8×1 GbE SFPP uplink ports (upgradable to 10 GbE). 4×40 GbE QSFP stacking ports)
- ten (10) P/N ICX6610-48P-E (48-port 1 GbE RJ45 PoE+, plus 8×1 GbE SFPP uplink ports (upgradable to 10 GbE). 4×40 GbE QSFP stacking ports)
- seven (7) P/N ICX6610-24F-E (24-port 1 GbE SFP, plus 8×1 GbE SFPP uplink ports (upgradable to 10 GbE). 4×40 GbE QSFP stacking ports)
- four (4) P/N ICX6610-24P-E (24-port 1 GbE RJ45 PoE+, plus 8×1 GbE SFPP uplink ports (upgradable to 10 GbE). 4×40 GbE QSFP stacking ports)
- thirty-five (35) P/N ICX6610-FAN-E (Power-supply-side exhaust airflow fan for the Brocade ICX 6610 (two fans required with two power supplies)
- fifty-two (52) P/N ICX6610-10G-LIC-POD (License to upgrade 4 ports of 1 GbE SFPP uplink to 10 GbE)

- fifty (50) P/N 10G-SFPP-TWX-0101 (Direct-attached SFP+ copper cable, 1 m, one-pack, stacking cable)
- five (5) P/N 1G-SFP-TWX-0101 (Direct-attached SFP+ copper cable, 1 m, one-pack, stacking cable)
- three (3) P/N 1G-SFP-TWX-0501 (Direct-attached SFP+ copper cable, 5 m, one-pack, stacking cable)
- four (4) P/N 40G-QSFP-C-0101 (40 GbE QSFP direct-attached copper cable, 1 m, one-pack)
- twelve (12) P/N ICX7750-48F (Brocade ICX 7750 with 48 1/10 GbE SFP+ ports, 6 40 GbE QSFP+ ports and modular interface slot. No power supplies or fan units (need to be ordered separately). No optics. Requires ICX7750-L3-COE Certificate of Entitlement to use advanced Layer 3 features)
- thirteen (13) P/N ICX7750-FAN-E (Fan kit of 4; fan-side exhaust (port-side intake) airflow)
- twenty-eight (28) P/N RPS9+E (500 W AC power supply; power-supply-side exhaust (port-side intake) airflow)
- five (5) P/N BR-MLX-10GX4-IPSEC-M (Brocade MLX 4-port 10 GbE and 4-port 1 GbE (-M) combo IPsec module with 512,000 IPv4 routes in hardware)
- four-hundred and twenty-three (423) P/N 10G-SFPP-LR (10GBASE-LR SFP+ optical transceiver, SMF LC)
- seventy-two (72) P/N 10G-SFPP-SR (10GBASE-SR SFP+ optical transceiver, SMF LC)
Without the Brocade Brand Products the Government is at Risk of a : Network Availability Decrease and Extensive Reconfiguration of Host Systems. The solicitation will be posted on Fedbid.com.
This acquisition is being pursued under the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Unless stated herein, no additional information is available. Requests for the same will be disregarded. A determination by the Government not to compete this effort is solely within the discretion of the Government. GENERAL INFORMATION: There is no commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation, make an award or awards, or be responsible for any money expended by interested parties before award of a contract for the effort described above.
