1. THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT TO BE USED FOR MARKET ANALYSIS IN DETERMINING THE AVAILABILITY OF THE BELOW REQUIREMENT. NO AWARDS WILL BE MADE FROM THIS SOURCES SOUGHT. NO SOLICITATION IS AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. THEREFORE, DO NOT REQUEST A COPY OF A SOLICITATION. ALL RESPONSES WILL BE USED TO DETERMINE THE APPROPRIATE ACQUISITION STRATEGY FOR THE FUTURE ACQUISITION.

2. Ellsworth AFB, SD is seeking sources qualified and interested in providing a commercial item proposal prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation Subpart 12.602, for Breathing Air Compressor listed in attachment 1, and line items of this RFI, or equal products are only acceptable if can be proven compatible with the current system in place, see attachment 2.

3. All interested parties are invited to provide the following information about your company/institution, or any teaming or joint venture partners. Interested parties are requested to submit service specifications that shall include: - Name, - Address, - Point of Contact (POC) - POC and product technical expert phone number(s) and email addresses, - CAGE Code, - Website, if applicable - Socioeconomic status -Industry feedback is being requested. If there is additional information or specifications required in order to quote on test weights, please advise the POC included in this RFI so the appropriate information can be obtained.

4. Contractors capable of providing this service should submit product information within the guidelines stated above in paragraph three (3) via e-mail to the person(s) stated below in paragraph five (5). Any information provided by industry to the Government as a result of this sources sought synopsis is strictly voluntary. Responses will not be returned. No entitlements to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges to the Government will arise as a result of contractor submission of responses, or the Government's use of such information. The information obtained from industries responses to this notice may be used in the development of an acquisition strategy and future RFP.

5. Responses are due no later than 4:00PM MST, Monday, 27 March 2017, and shall be electronically submitted to the following: SSgt Garrett Murray. At garrett.murray@us.af.mil.

6. Questions relative to this market research should be sent electronically to Garrett Murray. NO PHONE INQUIRIES. All communications shall be in writing by referencing "Breathing Air Compressor". DO NOT MAIL. Primary Point of Contact: SSgt Garrett Murray at garrett.murray@us.af.mil.

7. THIS IS A NOTICE FOR SOURCES SOUGHT ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL OR INVITATION FOR BID

IT DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A PROCUREMENT COMMITMENT BY THE U.S. AIR FORCE, IMPLIED OR OTHERWISE. NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS SOURCES SOUGHT. RESPONSE IS STRICTLY VOLUNTARY; NO REIMBURSEMENT WILL BE MADE FOR ANY COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH PROVIDING INFORMATION IN RESPONSE TO THIS SOURCES SOUGHT OR ANY FOLLOW-UP INFORMATION REQUESTS. THE GOVERNMENT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR OR SUFFER ANY CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES FOR ANY IMPROPERLY IDENTIFIED INFORMATION.


"Notice to Offeror(s)/Supplier(s): Funds are not presently available for this effort. No award will be made under this solicitation until funds are available. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation, either before or after the closing date. In the event the Government cancels this solicitation, the Government has no obligation to reimburse an offeror for any costs."
