The following action is to be competed by the U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA), located at Fort Detrick, MD, in support of the U.S. Army Medical Materiel Activity (USAMMA), located at Fort Detrick, MD, for Brand Name Medical Equipment Repair Parts.

This announcement constitutes the solicitation by USAMRAA, Fort Detrick, MD as a Request for Proposal (RFP) and offers must be submitted in writing (oral offers will not be accepted). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2019-05 effective 13 August 2019.


DESCRIPTION: This action is to be competed to fulfill the need of USAMMA. USAMMA requires brand name equipment repair parts needed to repair medical equipment used by deployed forces in theater. The required brand name parts will be shipped to USAMMA's depots located in Tobyhanna, PA, Tracy, CA and Hill Air Force Base, UT. The required brand name medical equipment repair parts to include the manufacturer, equipment description and part number are attached as part of this solicitation.
Delivery is FOB Destination. The anticipated required delivery date is 60 days after contract award. See the attached documents for the full delivery addresses.


This requirement is brand name only. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 339112 - Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing with a Size Standard of 1,000 employees. This requirement is solicited on an unrestricted basis and is NOT set aside for small businesses. No hard copies of the solicitation will be issued by this contracting office. In accordance with DFARS 252.204-7004, all contractors wishing to do business with the Department of Defense must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM. Contract award shall be made on a competitive best value basis using the "Lowest Price, Technically Acceptable (LPTA)" source selection procedures. The Government will award a FFP contract resulting from this solicitation. The attached document referenced above ("Combined Synopsis Solicitation") includes all clauses and provisions incorporated into this Request for Proposals as well as the Instructions for the Preparation and Submission of Proposals, Instructions to Offerors and Evaluation Factors.
