The Black Hills National Forest is advertising for interested contractors to provide proposals for a competitive multiple award Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with option years covering botanical surveys of watershed planning units for timber harvesting activities, range management, prescribed fire, and a host of other activities. The purpose of this work is to collect information to be used in making management decisions. Information collected will be shared with the Wyoming and South Dakota Heritage Programs.

Task order minimum will not be less than $3,000.00; maximum single task order will not be greater than 50,000 acres or combined task order greater than 80,000 within 60 calendar days. Ceiling price of the program will not exceed $500,000.00 over the five year period covered under the base with 4 one-year options. Three task orders are being bid under the same solicitation. Anticipated award is July.

All contract areas are located on the Black Hills National Forest in Wyoming and South Dakota. Specific site maps identifying project areas will accompany all Task Orders. The project areas may or may not be marked on the ground.

The use of bio-based products is anticipated in the performance of the contract. Information on Bio-based products can be found at: https://sftool.gov/GreenProcurement.

A telephone pre-quote conference will be held (No site Visit is planned):

Attendance is not mandatory. The pre-proposal telephone conference is to allow contractors intending to submit a proposal to ask questions that will enhance their understanding of the Performance Work Statement. It is encouraged that written questions be submitted no later than May 21, 2014 to ensure that responses to potential offeror(s) questions can be addressed during the telephone conference. All interested parties need to register to receive call in number to attend the meeting. If no-one registers for the meeting, the meeting will not be held. All interested parties must contact Brenda Anderson and register by noon May 21st. All questions must be received by May 26, 2015 - any questions received after this date will not be considered.

It is the contractor's responsibility to familiarize themselves with the normal terrain. You may Google: Black Hills National Forest for information on roads, terrain, and other pertinent information.
