Good Afternoon,

The U.S. Coast Guard, Surface Forces Logistics Center (SFLC), Engineering Services Division (ESD), Electronics and Ordnance Branch (EOB) is issuing a Request for Information (RFI) to identify potential sources capable of providing a gun barrel inspection system to visually inspect the interior material condition of naval gun barrel calibers of 57mm, 76mm and 127mm.

The USCG has identified that the current gun barrel inspection system is obsolete and requires replacement to an upgraded, more modern version with additional capabilities. It is anticipated that this replacement will provide high resolution video/pictures through remotely adjustable cameras and precise measurements of defects in the interior of naval gun barrels. All video and pictures captured during an inspection is expected to be downloadable to portable electronic media.

Task includes the production and delivery of the aforementioned gun barrel inspection system and the administration of a commercial warranty.

This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a commitment for an RFP in the future. Responses to this notice are not considered offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract.
