Bond Counsel Services
The County of Dane is seeking proposals for bond counsel services to provide
independent, expert legal advice and opinions regarding the issuance and sale of notes
and bonds.
The purpose of this document is to provide interested parties with information to enable
them to prepare and submit a proposal for Bond Counsel services.
The County as represented by its Corporation Counsel intends to use the results of this
process to award a contract for Bond Counsel services.
Dane County has a population of over 435,000 persons. The County of Dane is
organized into approximately 30 departments that administer a wide variety of services
to county residents. Services of County government include health and human services,
the Dane County Regional Airport, highway construction and maintenance, the Dane
County Sheriffs Office, the Dane County Clerk of Courts among others. The annual
operating and capital budgets of the County total nearly $400 million. The County has
approximately 2,100 employees.
