Boiler Replacement Mitchell Elementary School Industrial Boilers
Replace the existing boilers with two(2) Cleaver Brooks Model Series CFC gas fired condensing style hot water boilers, rated at 750 MBH each
Isolate, drain and disconnect existing boilers
Disconnect and remove existing DDC controller, sensors and end devices (must be assigned to a local Honeywell branch service technician)
Provide the services of a certified rigging contractor to remove and environmentally dispose of the existing boilers and
Schedule all disruptive work outside school hours
Install new boilers on existing housing pads and/or the supply of additional pads as required to meet local governing code(s)
Modify and re-connect piping to include hot water supply and return, natural gas piping, new gas regulator, relief valves and boiler drains
If required ,remove and relocated services attached to existing brick wall chimney
Demolish and dispose existing brick wall chimney above the upper roof line only. Supply and provide chimney roof cap to suit new boiler venting as required by code.
Ensure new boiler venting inside existing chimney are protected from any bricks that may dislodge.
Roofing for anchor points to stabilize new boiler vent will be provided by the District
Supply and install new positive pressure double wall breechings and single wall chimney line (one inch air space) to meet the requirements of a Class IV Venting System. Inner flue/liner to be 316 SST construction. Outer flue to be aluminized steel. The new breeching will be routed to the existing masonry chimney. Separate chimney liners will be installed in the existing chimney and connected to the new breechings.
