Boiler Plant Inspections Base plus four (4) 12 month options Period of performance beginning 10-1-2018 thru 9-30-2019
The Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center (VAMC), Salem, VA, 1970 Roanoke Blvd, Salem, Va. has a requirement to meet the guidelines of maintaining a safe and efficient environment for the veterans. The Medical Center is seeking expert technicians capable of semi-annual and annual inspections, testing and calibrations for the boiler plant at the VA Medical Center. Boiler plant safety, reliability, efficiency and equipment longevity are paramount concerns of VA Management. The contractor shall furnish all labor, material, equipment, parts, supervision, etc., necessary to service, repair, and perform boiler inspections, testing and calibration of the boiler plant burners, controls and instruments at the Salem VA Medical Center.
This is a Pre-solicitation only. Interested contractors should watch for the issuance of the solicitation which will have specific instructions and requirements associated with this procurement.
The tentative date for issuing the solicitation is on or after August 20, 2018.
In accordance with FAR part 52.219-6, Notice of Total Small Business Set-Aside, this is a 100% Small Business set-aside.
The NAICS Code for this procurement 238220 - Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors, with a maximum small business size standard of $15.0 Million.
In accordance with FAR 52.204-7, System for Award Management, prospective contractors must be registered in System for Award Management (SAM) to be eligible for award (www.sam.gov) and verified in VIP (www.VIP.VETBIZ.gov) as a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) prior to submitting a Quote.
