Bioterrorism Preparedness and Planning
The Region has secured federal funding to support ongoing regional activities to upgrade and integrate State and local public health jurisdictions preparedness for and response to bioterrorism, outbreaks of infectious disease, and other public health threats and emergencies with Federal, State, local and tribal governments, the private sector, and Non-Governmental organizations (NGOs). These emergency preparedness and response efforts are intended to support the national Response Plan (NRP) and the National Incident Management System (NIMS).
