Biomerieux Vitek MS Maintenance VA Central Iowa Health Care System
The VA Central Iowa Health Care System intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Biomerieux, Inc., 100 Rodolphe ST, Durham, NC, 27712, under the authority of FAR 6.302-2 due to only having one responsible source that can provide services and support for a Biomerieux Vitek Mass Spectrometer.
This is notice of intent to award a sole source under statutory authority 10 USC 2304(c)(1), set forth in Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-2, Due to Only One Responsible Source that Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. Note - No award will be issued from responses to this notice. Response to this notice does not legally bind the Government in any manner. Your concerns will be considered if you respond to this posting with a similar product/service.
The justification for this sole source request is based on the VA Central Iowa Health Care System maintaining their Biomerieux Vitek Mass Spectrometer in the Labratory. This service is essential to the VA Central Iowa Health Care System complying with all federal and AAMI Quality Standards in order to ensure veteran s health safety is maintained. No other sources for the required services for the Biomerieux Vitek Mass Spectrometer can be located.
A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Inquiries will only be accepted by email at john.milroy@va.gov.
