Biomedical Engineer Services
This announcement is to provide notice that The U.S. Army Contracting Command-Aberdeen Proving Ground, Natick Contracting Division, on behalf of the U.S. Army Medical Command (Brooke Army Medical Center and the Army Medical Department Center and School, JBSA Fort Sam Houston, TX) intends to negotiate a sole source award under 41 U.S.C. 1901(e)(2), implemented by FAR 13.501(a) -- Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements to Henry M. Jackson Foundation. This contract will be for services related to the continuing performance of this project by the Henry M. Jackson Foundation that presently has biomedical engineers working at the Center for the Intrepid with critical expertise, experience, and skillsets necessary to the accomplish this research project.
While this notice is not a request for competitive proposals, responsible parties purporting to have the requisite credentials and capabilities to provide this service in fulfilling the agency's requirements must furnish, in writing, factual information, which clearly supports and demonstrates their ability to sufficiently provide these services, within 15 days to Mr. Lee Hess, lee.a.hess.civ@mail.mil.
Any questions regarding this notice must be in writing only; no telephonic replies will be accepted. A determination not to compete this proposed action based on any responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer.
