Best practice guidance program for American Indian students
The State of New Mexico's Public Education Department (PED), Indian Education Division is requesting proposals from an accredited New Mexico colleges, universities, or tribal colleges to implement a best practice guidance program for American Indian students transitioning from high school to higher education institutions through partnerships with communities and schools. The purpose is to increase access for American Indian high school students who qualify to enter college/university upon graduation from high school through alignment of high school graduation requirements with college placement requirements. This ensures that what students are asked to know and do in high school is connected to postsecondary requirements. The amount of the award will be up to $300,000.00 for two (2) years.
